"At first I wasn’t certain how going through recruitment and then being a sorority would be like. But since becoming an ASA I realized I couldn’t have made a better choice! I was honestly so touched by all the love and support I gained from everyone in the chapter. There’s always someone willing to help, give me advice and support. It’s really been helping me grow into myself as a person and even expand what I’m capable of. It’s so lovely to have a group that I share passions, goals and values with. So far my favorite memories have been our sisterhood events like letter making, or cupcake decorating and I’ve loved being a part of recruitment and helping other girls find their home on campus. I can’t wait to make more memories!"

"One of my favorite memories of ASA would have to be our Sunday Night Dinners that we have, it’s such a great time for all of us to see each other and catch up and enjoy some amazing food! :)"

"Being apart of this organization has allowed me to grow in ways that I never would’ve been able to had I not been involved. Not only through leadship opportunities, but through sisterhood. The bond and support that I have with these women is irreplaceable, along with of their dedication to ASA and all the foundations we support is beyond inspiring."

"As a graduating senior, Ive had the chance to reflect on my time in Alpha Sigma Alpha. It has been completely worthwhile with the opportunities Ive been given and the countless amount of girls that genuinely have my best interests at heart. While my time in Gamma Iota is soon ending, something super special about ASA is that it’s a lifelong membership and your journey doesn’t have to end after graduation! Our network of active alumnae chapters is truly impressive, and I cannot wait to join one to continue to give back to the community and ASA sisters. "

"I joined ASA because I wanted to have a strong community of women on campus; ever since, it has been one of my best decisions I've ever made. When I first stepped into the ASA house, I felt so welcomed and loved -- knew it was my home. The best part of being involved with ASA is that we uphold the same beliefs and values."

"Hi my name is Kara Gildea! I joined ASA in fall 2021 after transferring to RIT and have since held the positions of PR Chairman and VP of PR & Recruitment. Going through recruitment I immediately felt at home with ASA because of the sisterhood I witnessed between the older and younger sisters. Growing up an only child this is something I always craved. I met sisters from across RIT who were so passionate about their own goals it was infectious. I can confidently say I would not be the woman I am today without joining ASA and having the support of my sisters everyday. I have been pushed outside my comfort zone and gained valuable leadership and communication skills through holding my positions that will help me with my future career! If you want to find a community where you will be inspired to grow while being surrounded by passionate, funny, smart, loving sisters you should definitely come meet us at recruitment!"

Kara

"ASA provided me a community of inspiring and hard-working women that I have made life-long friendships with. The unwavering support has helped me achieve so many of my goals and has helped me create new ones to become the person I am today and I know they will continue to support me for the rest of my life!"

"ASA was the first organization i talked to during recruitment kickoff and i instantly felt at home with the sisters. since then they've given me so many opportunities for leadership and friendship! It truly feels like a home away from home for someone who lives across the country. Coming from an all girls high school, they are my little safe haven from a male dominated major, and I could not have ended up anywhere better!! "

"Joining ASA was one of the most important decisions I have ever made. I joined ASA because of the values and sisterhood, and I immediately knew I was home. Everyone has been so supportive and welcoming. I am able to connect myself with our community through our philanthropies, I get to be inspired by strong women, and I have a loving group of sisters by my side through every step of the way through my college journey!  "
